If you have dry hands that need a bit of nourishing then try Crabtree and Evelyn products- they do a great job!
Firstly exfoliate your hands with the hand recovery (a hand scrub)- work into dry hands to exfoliate and get rid of dry, dead skin then rinse under running water while still gently rubbing hands. Then follow with the hand therapy (a hand cream) which leaves hands feeling really pampered and soft! For even more treatment you can use the age-defying hand remedy too.
I have the La Source range (as above) which is the spa range that has a lovely fresh ‘sea air’ scent with extracts of sea algae.
A lot of people associate Crabtree and Evelyn with more mature customers but I’m in my early twenties and love their products. They cater for women of all ages. Crabtree and Evelyn is a luxury brand and the products aren’t cheap but they really do the job well and there are so many different fragrances and products, they’re well worth a visit and often have special offers (they’ve got 3for2 on their hand care products at the moment) 🙂
So I went shopping the other day and thought I’d share my purchases.
1. Lace top from Hollister Co. £28 (it’s called orange county). Looks cute tucked into a floral skirt or with skinny jeans.
2. Floral t-shirt from Warehouse. £25 (part of Fashion Targets Breast Cancer- 30% of price donated to breakthrough breast cancer)
3. Cream gypsy top from Miss Selfridge £28. Lovely floaty sleeves!
4. I included this tee in my California-Cool post. £15 from River Island
Looking forward to some good weather so I can wear them with some nice shorts/skirts instead of jeans and cardigans/jackets!!
So I won a competition the other day, the prize was a peplum top. I’ve been meaning to write a post about the peplum trend for a while, so now I own a peplum top I thought I should finally write this!
Here’s the top I got (£12 from cindersfashion.co.uk)
To be honest I’ve not been sure about the peplum trend and whether it is flattering but after getting this top I’ve found it cinches you in at the waist (also covers up the tummy bulge!) and flatters the hips nicely (well this particular top does anyway!) I wear mine with a black bodycon skirt and nude heels for a classic look.
I spotted this skirt in Look magazine for £29.99, Zara. Really cute colour for the summer, would look great with some floral wedges.
I haven’t seen this dress in person but it looks pretty gorge to me. Will be adding it to my shopping basket shortly I think! £25, River Island
Lipsy never fails to impress with their dresses, and this black peplum doesn’t disappoint with it’s lovely lace back detail, £55.
This peplum jacket is really lovely and classy, and looks great paired with a white skirt. ASOS £50.
Loving the colour of this Miss Selfridge v-neck peplum dress. £42 (obviously been popular as there are limited sizes)
Bit late with this post as we all probably know the whole laid-back california-cool club tropicana look is in this season but I’m feeling the need for a holiday, which inspired me to finally write it!
So here are some lovely things I’ve found which tie in with this trend.
This top from Lipsy is great for flinging over denim hotpants for a laid back look, £28.
I pretty much love most of River Island’s tees but here are my two faves:
Pink LA t-shirt and white tank top, both £15.
Couldn’t resist putting these shorts into the post! £20, River Island.
Topshop has some fab pieces too like these palm tree print leggings, £20
Think this cute hair tie would look great with a casual t-shirt and denim shorts, £8.
Love these! Both £34 Topshop.
This tropical vest dress is great for £11.99, Missguided.
So I got an email from A Wear today and there was a lovely embellished top which inspired me to write this post about pretty sparkly tops!
So here’s the top from AWear that caught my eye £50. So pretty and the scalloped edge is very on-trend.
Topshop as usual also has some lovely embellished pieces:
Sequin tees (left, £50 right £48)
And for those looking for more decadence how about this open-back sequin bodycon dress for £200.
For more subtle embellishment this top from River Island is lovely (£22)
Worldofhels is now on Twitter! So, any other tweeters out there feel free to follow and I’ll follow you back 🙂
I got some imPRESS nails the other day and applied them last night ready for the weekend! The only other fake nails I’ve tried are the ones which come with nail glue and I’ve found that it gets really stuck on the nail once you’ve removed the fakes and damages the nail so these imPRESS nails looked a lot less damaging and easier to put on as they don’t use glue.
It’s a really simple process to apply them- takes less than 2 minutes! Just select the right size for each nail then just peel off the tabs and simply press them on really firmly and that’s it! They look really good and fit the natural nail really well. Available in lots of different colours and effects. Boots have them, priced at either £7.99 or £8.99 (see this link) http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/EndecaSearchListerViewstoreId=10052&langId=1&c atalogId=11051&stReq=1&searchTerm=impress&newDepSearch=&x=0&y=0#container
The nails are meant to last up to a week but I’m not sure how hardy they are once you’ve washed up/ washed your hair a few times etc. But at the moment they seem to be staying put quite well.
Here’s a pic of the finished product:
